How a car flip works, in plain English
Insurance companies send damaged or written-off cars to salvage auctions. Some are cheap to fix. Buy right, repair sensibly, sell on, and the gap is your profit. The trap is the hidden costs, and that's what Clyde Flip is for.
Find a car
Browse salvage auctions like Copart and IAA. Scotland has yards in East Kilbride, Whitburn, Torrance, Carluke, Addiewell and Dumfries.
Work out the real cost
The hammer price is just the start. Buyer fees, internet bid fees, admin, retrieval, VAT, transport, repairs and the MOT all add up.
Set your max bid
Tell the calculator what it'll sell for and the profit you want. It tells you the most you can bid. Stick to it.
Fix, check and sell
Repair it properly, get it through its MOT, check it's LEZ-compliant if you're selling in the cities, and list it honestly.
